Love cruising to the Bahamas but looking for new ports of call? Carnival Cruise Line has just announced that starting in May, six of its cruise ships will begin sailing to Princess Cays, a private beach resort located on the southern tip of the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

The cruise line expects its ships to make 40 calls to Princess Cays this year, and nearly a 100 in 2018.

Introducing Princess Cays

So what will Carnival cruisers find when they arrive to Princess Cays? Miles of pristine white-sand beaches, a 40-acre complex with restaurants, bars and shops, and an observation tower giving panoramic views of tropical surroundings. Paved paths guide visitors right to various beaches — for those looking for privacy, bungalows are available to rent.

Activities and Attractions

Want to explore the island and its clear water? Choose from plenty of activities and shore excursions, such as glass-bottom boat tours, dune buggy adventures, paddle-boarding, windsurfing or kayaking.

And best of all, when lunchtime rolls around, a free barbecue feast is offered.

"At Carnival, we're always looking for new and exciting destinations for our guests and Princess Cays is a beautiful island paradise with gorgeous beaches and an array of 'fun-in-the-sun' activities that our guests will really enjoy experiencing on their vacation," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
