Even those who haven't yet had the chance to stay at a South Beach hotel have heard of the Royal Palm South Beach Miami. This Art Deco gem is awash in white, decadent flair — but that's probably not why it has garnered a 4-star rating from the TripAdvisor community. Rather, travelers fancy the property's abstract interior, its excellent beach service, its impeccable rooms and the overall pampering they received.

Clevelander South Beach Hotel

Beacon Hotel
Featuring comfortable rooms decked out in bright colors, the Beacon Hotel welcomes travelers with an enviable location across from Lummus Beach Park, the most popular beachfront stretch on the barrier island. Though freebies are hard to come by in one of the nation's most high-end beach destinations, breakfast at the Beacon Hotel is complimentary, along with WiFi and beach towels.
The Pelican Hotel

Besides beach access, the hotel also offers free breakfast and WiFi. And if you find you can't entertain yourself at the on-site restaurant and bar, you can walk a few steps down to Mango's Tropical Cafe for stiff drinks and a high-energy Latin dancing show.

And while a number of hotels on South Beach, Miami Beach's northern stretches and the surrounding area don't have swimming pools, this one charms with its upper-level pool overlooking the on-site restaurant and action-packed Ocean Drive.
