Two luxury cruises from Paul Gauguin Cruises will have you wanting to trade in your white Christmas for a white-sand Christmas. Departing December 23 and December 30, 2017, the seven-day voyages depart from Tahiti on the m/s Paul Gauguin, the cruise line’s small-sized flagship complete with spacious suites and staterooms, three dining venues and a full-service spa.

Both itineraries include two stops exclusively available to guests of Paul Gauguin cruises — Motu Mahana islet and a private beach in Bora Bora. Guests will also stay overnight in Moorea to experience its verdant peaks and crystalline water.

The holiday voyages will highlight Polynesian culture and also offer plenty of activities: water sports, a barbecue cookout, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding and even optional excursions such as a four-wheel-drive safari or a glass-bottom boat ride. Check out Paul Gauguin Cruises on Instagram for awe-inspiring images of real voyages in Tahiti, French Polynesia, Fiji and the South Pacific.

The onboard Stewards of Nature program allows kids (and parents) to engage in hands-on interactive learning about nature through excursions, activities and crafts. Geared more for adults are lectures by Martin Robards, PhD, Director of the WCS Arctic Beringia conservation program, an expert in ecology and environmental policy.

Between ports of call, relax on private balconies (more than 70% of the staterooms feature them) or grab a beer from your in-room refrigerator. When it’s time to eat, choose your venue — all meals and drinks (even select wine, beer and spirits) are included in cabin fare.

Speaking of inclusions, you’ll be surprised by what you get for the cruises’ $5,645 price tag: Beside meals and drinks, the sailings also include airfare from Los Angeles, airport/pier transfers, free room service, shipboard entertainment, onboard gratuities and access to a pool, a fitness center, a casino and a disco/lounge.

Unlike mega-ship sailings, Paul Gauguin cruises offer a more intimate, upscale experience, with a focus on personalized service. The smaller ship size allows it to stop in ports not accessible by massive vessels. The cruise line was recently named as the “#1 Midsize-Ship Ocean Cruise Line” by readers in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards for this year.
