Zephyr Cove

Lake Tahoe Leisure

No summer in Lake Tahoe would be complete without a trip to Zephyr Cove, home to a buzzy golden-sand beach with some of the most splendid natural surroundings you can imagine.

Set along the lake’s southeastern shore, with towering pine trees and mountains in the distance, Zephyr Cove is as action-packed as it is beautiful. Its scenic swath of golden sand and vast pool of aquamarine water are reason enough to venture to this corner of Nevada.

Water Sports Galore

Visitors to Zephyr Cove love to hit the water in the fleeting summer months. Rent jet skis and join the hundreds of other people zipping out onto the water. Boating, parasailing and wakeboarding are popular too.

Join a game of beach volleyball or take cover under an umbrella with friends. Planning a picnic? Come early to claim one of the public barbecue grills.

Dining at Zephyr Cove

To cure a growling stomach, head to one of the restaurants lining Lincoln Highway, such as highly rated Toast Tahoe, serving burgers, steaks and seafood.

For a more offbeat option, book a dinner cruise onboard the beloved 520-passenger cruising vessel, the MS Dixie II, recognized by Nevada Magazine as the “Best Cruise in Nevada.” Sunsets on the lake are unforgettable, but the vessel also takes passengers on shorter, daytime scenic cruises.
